I just received my guitar and its fantastic. I've never purchased a guitar online before, so I was bit weary at first.It was my first time buying a used guitar but I would definitely recommend this company. If fact I'm still haven'tīeen able to put it down. Just received my used 1997 Les Paul Studio DC. Some accessories and spare parts are included in the case. The neck is exceptionally comfortable and suitable for fast, smooth and accurate playing.Ĭase: Includes original hardshell case. The DiMarzio pickups provide plenty of output and sound great in any setting. Playability/Sound: This is a very smooth playing, highly versatile guitar. Master volume and tone controls and a 5-way selector switch. Pickups/Electronics: DiMarzio humbuckers in the neck and bridge and a single-coil in the middle. Neck: Bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid/abalone disappearing pyramid inlays and a 1 15/16” locking metal nut. Floyd Rose Licensed bridge with vibrato arm, knurled control knobs, a mirror pickguard and black back cover plates. There is an intricate pyramic inlay towards the bottom. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.īody: Solid contoured basswood body with pearloid bound top in black finish. The control knobs have been replaced however the originals are included in the case. The truss rod cover is included however not all of the screw holes match up and the original screws are missing. The neck is very straight and the truss rod functions fine. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. ![]() There are two deeper scratches on the back and one corner of the pickguard has a crack. There are heavy pick scratches on the pickguard and plenty of surface scratches throughout the top, back and sides. I have seen these priced over £6000 so I feel my price is more than fair.ĬASH ON COLLECTION ONLY PLEASE.Condition: Various scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the instrument. It has the common Ibanez hairline marks in the lacquer either side of the neck pocket joint, as we all know this does not effect the guitar at all and appears on more vintage Ibanez guitars then not! There is no other defects to mention and is in amazing collectors condition for a 27 year old guitar. There is only one ding on the body as shown in the picture, its on the bottom rear side, this could be colour matched and drop filled by a good luthier if you want it perfect but you don't really see it. ![]() The colours are bright with no noticeable signs of fading, this particular swirl came out very nice and sharp, many I have seen from this period appear muddy.Įverything works as it should with no excessive play wear. The guitar is 100% original, no repairs or upgrades etc, exactly as it came from Ibanez. The guitar is one owner from new and has not been played in 15 years where it remained stored in the original case, the case is not the pink lined type but is the original from Ibanez, the hinges have broken on the case which could be fixed! Please study the pictures carefully as they are the description for the most part, be assured that I have not adjusted the colour or contrast of the pictures, the Vai poster in the background is there so you can to see the colours of the shot are not altered. These early original Swirls are the ones to have and are now highly prized and sought after by guitar collectors of all genres, In my opinion these guitars have only just started to rise in value and will soon be in double figures in the near future! Up for grabs is this superb example of one of the most iconic 20th century rock guitars, famed in the hands of none other than Steve Vai and went on to create a whole new genre with Korn.
